Let me tell you a little story. About 3 weeks ago, I had the grand idea to strip the paint off of our 100 year old corner hutch.

I mosey'd on over to the hardware store, got my Citrus-Strip and my scraper, and went home, full of ambition. Oh the naivety.

A week or two ago, my mother in law sent me a link to Samplize. They specialize in adhesive lined paint samples which means you literally peel the adhesive backing off and stick the sample directly to the wall. I was pretty intrigued, so I ordered a few so I could test them out for you guys.

They come in a 12x12 square, and right now they only offer paint colors from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, and Farrow and Ball.

Painting furniture, no matter the finish, is always a daunting task to me. I'm not real sure why. Probably because one summer when I was 12, it took me three whole months to paint one dresser, because my mom kept "forgetting"  to get me more sandpaper. So, from then on, working with furniture has always been a much bigger task in my mind then it is in reality.

This little gem has served us well over the years. But to be frank, I hated the way she looked. When we ran out of funds for our bathroom, I was originally a bit frustrated that we wouldn't be replacing this light right away. 

But with a little bit of creativity, I think I figured out a way to update her on a budget. 

Supplies We Used: 

-Rust-Oleum Spray paint in :Pure Gold

 Literally the day we moved into our house, I dreamed of taking the doors off of these black beauties, and putting some new handles on. 

Well, we finally did it (only two and a half years later...) and I can't even. I physically cannot even.
